

Michael D’Angelo, 93, of Brooklyn, NY entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 18, 1921 to the late Carl and Mary (Petrillo) D’Angelo where he remained a lifelong resident. He was a proud United States Army veteran of WWII where he served as Staff Sergeant in the 39th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron and was a recipient of the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct and Victory Medal. Michael continued as a professional photographer and worked in Brooklyn for Marcy Studios where he was a bridal photographer for several years.
Michael is predeceased by his beloved wife, Mollie (1992), his second wife Ann (2014) and his dear brother Bernard D’Angelo. He is survived by his loving son Carl (and his wife Adrienne) D’Angelo; his dear sister Adeline Eggers; his adored granddaughter Lisa (and her husband Frank) Bonelli and his cherished great-granddaughters Isabella and Lilianna Bonelli.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2-5pm & 7-9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Highway 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9am Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church 1 St. Thomas Plaza Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A committal service will follow in Greenwood Cemetery 500 25th Street Brooklyn, NY 11232.
