Novella A. DiLeonardo

Novella was born in Italy and moved to New York when she was 8 years old, residing there until 1982, when she moved to Manalapan. She was loved by everyone privileged to know her. She was the most devoted and loving wife and mother to her very fortunate husband and 4 children. Over many years, Novella shared her love of children by working for the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School System, Children's World, and Knowledge Learninig Corporation. She was predeceased by her parents, Francesco and Anita Milcenni, and parents in law, Vincenzo and Francesca DiLeonardo. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Salvatore; her sister and brother in law, Fioretta and Piero Briganti, of New York; her sister and brother in law, Vivian and Aldo Mirazita, of Ohio; her sister in law and brother in law, Marie and Giulio Monaco, of New York; her children, Cristina and Ron Shaffery, of Toms River; Vincent and Jessyca DiLeonardo, of Freehold; Richard and Stephanie DiLeonardo, of New York; Caren and Andrew Rosetta, of Colorado; her six cherished and adored grandchildren: Danielle, Jillian, Kevin, Benjamin, Dominic, and Rosemary, all to whom she meant the world; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. A memorial service will be held at the same location during the evening visitation.
