Richard Andrew Previte

Richard Andrew Previte, 85, of Arlington, VA formerly of Morganville, NJ entered into Eternal Rest with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Born in Queens, NY to the late Nicholas John and Catherine (Trovato) Previte, he lived in Morganville for 47 years before moving to Arlington less than 9 months ago.

Richard was a proud United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an engineer with Bell Labs in Holmdel for 27 years and continued his career as a consultant for AT&T in Holmdel.

Richard was very active in his community and volunteered with the Monmouth Museum for over 25 years. He was the Republican Municipal Chairman for 12 years and past water commissioner. He was a member of the St. Gabriel Knights of Columbus Council #15964. In his leisure he enjoyed bike riding, walking, tennis, gardening and collecting stamps & coins.

Richard is predeceased by his dear brothers Joseph and John. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Louise (Grasso) Previte; his loving son Richard Previte; his adored daughters Maria (and her husband Andy) Toole and Suzanne (and her husband Randy) Mowery. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter Miranda Previte.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Friday, May 29, 2015 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Highway 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10am Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Gabriel RC Church 100 North Main Street Marlboro, NJ 07746. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Mausoleum 549 County Road 520 Marlboro, NJ 07746.
