

Thomas Stephen Palmer, 85, of Old Bridge, passed away on November 1, 2011 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Upper Nyack, NY, he has lived in Middlesex County since 1957, residing in New Brunswick, Sayreville, Parlin, and Old Bridge. He worked for IBM for about 8 years and then marketing and advertising before working for the City of Sayreville for 20 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed racing his horses at the Freehold Racetrack, and competition quail hunting. The son of the late Charles & Mae Palmer, and the last of 5 brothers, the late Norman Palmer, Robert Palmer, Harry Palmer, & Johnny Palmer, he is survived by his daughter & son in law, Tina Marie & Mark Luciw; his son, Charles Thomas Palmer; his grandchildren, Michael Luciw, Raquel Luciw, & Mark Christian Luciw; his former wife, Delores; his sister, Rosie McCauley; and his niece & nephew, Jeannie Betts & Jimmie McCauley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 6-9pm and on Wednesday November 9, 2011 from 10-10:45am at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:45am. Interment will follow to Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
