     Our daughter, Leslie, called me and my wife, Karen, on Thursday to tell us Ann had passed away earlier in the week.  We were both very upset to get this news.  We loved Ann and always had a blast whenever we got together - although it was never as much as we would have liked.
     One of my Mother and Dad’s favorite stories was about the time they left me and my sister, Anne, with Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Dee for a week while they went out of town to a convention.  I think my sister and I were only about 1 and 2, and Jane and Ann were probably only about 14 and 10.  When my parents picked us up, Uncle Jimmy told them that “our feet had never hit the floor the entire time they were gone because Jane and Ann carried us everywhere we went.”  Then Mother claimed that when she got us home, we had forgotten how to feed ourselves because Ann and Jane had hand fed us the entire time.  I remember the way Ann would laugh every time Mother retold this story.
     Some of my fondest memories will always be about the trips our family took to Murfreesboro to see Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Dee (and later Aunt Helen and Bit), Jane and Ann.
     We wish we could have been in Nashville yesterday to attend the services and see everyone.  My sister told us she had a great time catching up.
     We will miss you Ann.  You were truly one of the sweetest, hardest working and most beautiful people – both inside and outside - we have ever known.  Our thoughts are with you Dale and Dee and your families.
