Barbara Marie Stacey Carney Age 80 of Mt. Juliet, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 after a brief illness of pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by husband, William (Bill) Carney, parents, Robert & Lillan Stacey: brother , Robert L. Stacey, Jr., son, Henry (Ruby) Carney . She was a graduate of East High School and a member of Victory Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife and aunt and friend. She is survived by sister, Corrie (Butch) Duty of Mt. Juliet: nieces, Terri (Mack) Moss, Jill (Lehman) Brady, Cindy Everett (Rich), Connie (Bill) Daniel, nephews ,Byrom (Kim) Stacey, Jeff (Mendy) Duty. Step-Daughter, Peggy Jo (Terry) Jones, 6 great nephews, 5 great nieces and 2 great-great nieces: A host of friends and other family. Bobbie was a friend to all and an avid animal lover and leaves her companion “China”. Her heart was bigger than life and many morn her passing. Friends & family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers: Betty Robinson, Debbie Neese, Grace Boughey, Ruby Carney, Bonnie Webb, and Wanda Barr. A celebration of life service will be held at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Chuck Groover officiating, Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Saturday. . Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers accepted and Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter and Gideons International.
