Bessie Juanita Harper

She was born in Difficult, Tennessee, to the late Melvin Lee Henry and Willie Mae Woodard Henry. Mrs. Harper retired from Genesco after 53 years of service as a telecommunications specialist. She was a longtime member of Inglewood Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Harper loved God and her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Harper, and siblings, Michael L. Henry, Larry Henry, Troy Henry, Roger Henry and Ruth McDonald.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her son, Melvin “LeRoy” Harper and his wife, Barbara; granddaughter, Chelsea Nicole Harper; son, Richard “Ricky” Allen Harper; siblings, Kenneth (Barbara) Henry, Barbara (James) Denning and Carolyn (Anthony) Bishop; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Hunter Mathis officiating.
