

She was born on January 8, 1942, in Coldwater, Mississippi, to the late John and Margaret Barlett. Betty met the love of her life, William, at the skating rink. The next week, they went on a blind date. They dated for a year before they got married. This June 23 they would have celebrated 56 wonderful years together. Betty and William have lived in the Hermitage/Mount Juliet area since 1972. She raised four kids of her own plus William. Betty enjoyed church and her church family. She lived her life as a selfless, loving, and dedicated Christian lady. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Barlett.
She is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Chamberlin; son, Darren (Jennifer) Chamberlin, and their two sons, Tyler and Matt; daughter, Carol (Chris) Gaines, and their two daughters, Ashley and Shelbey (Jack) Norris; daughter, Stacey (Mark) Hawke, and their two daughters, Allison and Olivia; Patricia Chamberlin Lane, her three children, Christen, Josh, and Taylor, and great granddaughters, Nia and Alaya, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Hermitage Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Friday, May 26, 2017, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 12:00 pm with Bro. Don Loftis officiating.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
