Betty Jean Schroeder

Betty Jean Schroeder, age 84, of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was born on September 3, 1938, in Nashville, TN to her parents William P. Batey and Annie Bell Painter Batey who preceded her in death.

Betty was a long-time member of Lebanon Road church of Christ where her husband was a former elder. She enjoyed travelling, doing cross stitch, reading and cooking but she loved taking care of her family most of all. She was a very special woman and will be dearly missed by her family and by all who knew her.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, William N. Batey and Dave E. "Tiny" Batey. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years James A. Schroeder, by her three daughters Joni L. Schroeder, Penny (Robert) Blevins, Dawn (Jay) Hannah, by her grandchildren Crystal Blevins (Roman Sanders), Robby (Lindsay) Blevins, Jaime Hannah, Joey (Kelsie) Hannah and Brittany (Brice) Dix and by 11 great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation for Betty on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138 and again on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with her funeral service at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. JD Buckner Pulpit Minister of Lebanon Road church of Christ officiating. Her final resting place will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens in the Memories Mausoleum.
