Betty Briley Sheehan

Sheehan, Betty Briley was born April 8, 1923 to Mamie and Cecil Briley In Columbus Ga. She was known as “Sugar Babe” to Bob her loving and dedicated husband for 66 years. Betty lived each moment with grace and elegance. She is preceded in death by Husband: Robert C. Sheehan. She is survived by her sons: Russ, Mike (Beverly) & Steve (Darlus) Sheehan. Brother: Al (Barbara) Briley. Grandchildren: Briley (Benita) Sheehan ,Teresa Sheehan, Heather (Tony) Gerber, Patrick (Elizabeth) Sheehan , Amanda ( Ricky) Temple, Ashley, Erin & Meghan Sheehan. Great Grandchildren: Nick Thompson, Jess Nicolazzi, Ayla Gerber, Xander & Ellie Sheehan , Reagan Temple, & Jia Nicolazzi . Betty was the consummate homemaker and most loving of mothers, who still found time to be active in Bellsouth Pioneers, Hermitage Garden Club, and many other community groups. She found great pleasure as supervisor of docents at the Hermitage for many years. She and Bob were active members of Tulip Grove Baptist Church where they shared love and fellowship with their church family. Services will be held 1 pm Monday at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Bontrager officiating. Interment to be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 pm and Monday from 10 am to time of service at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Memorial conurbations may be made to charity of choice.
