Betty Marie Stilts

Betty Marie Stilts was born in Rocky Comfort, Missouri, and later made Nashville, Tennessee her home. She loved the outdoors and was always game for a side quest - whether it was driving on a whim to see the world’s largest frying pan, heading to Memphis for a Thanksgiving ham, skydiving for her 70th birthday with her nephew, or white-water rafting with her girls.

Betty was always there to offer comfort and a home to anyone in need, with a hot meal, a warm smile, and advice whether you wanted it or not.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jennie Cooper; her brothers Lloyd, Wayne, Bill, Jimmy, Charlie, and John; her sisters Mary Lou Boyd and Dot Hook; and her husband Gregory Allen Stilts.

Betty is survived by her daughter Susan (Richard) Pierce; her granddaughters Autumn Dalton (Trevor Card) and Christy Gaiser; her great-grandchildren Robert (Angie) Dalton, Sebastian Coleman, and Joey Card; and brother Joe Cooper.

Gathering of Family and Friends Friday February 6, 2026 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room also at Hermitage Funeral Home.
