

Billy is preceded in death by his first wife Carlene (Hunziker) Henley (1929-2000), survived by his daughters Brenda Lee Neely and Billie Lynn Anderson, grandchildren Brian K. Anderson (Kristie), Amber Bain, and great-grandfather to Ryman, McLaren, and Andrew. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Texas and New Mexico.
Billy's life was a rich tapestry of dedication, service, and adventure. In his younger days, he delighted in the art of square dancing, his nimble feet and infectious spirit gracing many a dance floor. This love for dancing symbolized his zest for life, a spirit that carried him through his many adventures.
As a paratrooper in the US Army, Billy displayed extraordinary courage. He soared through the skies, embracing the thrill of freefall, and landing firmly on the ground. His military service took him to Okinawa, Japan, where his bravery and dedication were exemplified in his role as a paratrooper.
During his time in the army, he also pursued his passion for boxing, a skill he used to ensure a hearty steak meal and avoid kitchen duties, showcasing his resourcefulness and determination.
Billy began his career in the trenches, quite literally, as he specialized in putting in sewers and septic systems. His work contributed to the betterment of his community, a testament to his hardworking and diligent nature.
Later in life, Billy found his path as a skilled welder at BFI, showcasing his craftsmanship and commitment to excellence. His welding work left a mark not only in his creations but also in the hearts of those who knew him.
But Billy's life story did not stop there. He transitioned into driving a special needs bus and a church bus for Mount Juliet Baptist, where his heart overflowed with compassion. His care for the special needs children and his dedication to the church community became hallmarks of his later years.
Additionally, his love for racing cars with his daughter Brenda Lee was a shared passion that created cherished memories together, reflecting his adventurous spirit. #50
Billy E. Anderson's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His dedication to his family, his service to his country, his love for dancing, and his unwavering commitment to his community will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. May he rest in eternal peace.
