Billy Lee Fuqua

Loving husband of Jo Ann (Mack). Dedicated father to Jeff and his wife Betsy of Franklin, TN and Jackie and her husband John Lee of Mt. Juliet, TN.

Proud grandfather of Bailey and Davis and brother to Janice (Jerry) Work of South Fulton, TN.

His late parents were Jess and Marjorie Fuqua of Wingo, KY.

Bill was born in Wingo, KY in 1936 and raised on the family farm. He played a variety of sports at Wingo High School including basketball, baseball and track. He served his country in the navy before working 40 years as a Superintendent for the Jervis B. Webb Company.

He was a member of Donelson First Baptist Church, the Old Hickory Masonic Lodge and the Al Menah Shrine in Nashville, TN.

Bill loved the outdoors. He loved to camp, hunt and fish. He enjoyed gardening and travel. He was a loyal supporter of the Tennessee Titans, NASCAR and University of Kentucky basketball.

Friends will be received at the Hermitage Funeral and Memorial Gardens on Thursday, July 28, from 6-8 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be on Friday, July 29 at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at noon.

Memorial donations can be directed to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or Donelson First Baptist Church.
