Brenda Kaye Jackson, age 72 of Old Hickory, TN passed away February 9, 2020. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Don Jackson; daughter, Terrin Abernathy (Keith); sons, Mike Jackson (Paula), Steve Jackson, Kevin Jackson (Sandy) and Troy Jackson; brother, Terry Heald; sister, Charlene Ferguson; grandchildren, Michael Jackson (Melissa), Chris Jackson (April), Brittany Lindsay (Adam), Zach Jackson (Melissa), Kenny Kastelic (Lacy), Tyler Kastelic, Haley Isbel (Nick), Josh Maddox (Brittney), Meagin Maddox and Paige Ryan (Pat); great-grandchildren, Kalen, Avery, Allie, Crews, Sam, Max, Easton, Caleb and Hattie.
Kaye spent many years working with the Education Department at W.A. Wright Elementary School. She was also an All NIL basketball player.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Mr. Kevin Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers will be Michael Jackson, Chris Jackson, Zach Jackson, Kenny Kastelic, Tyler Kastelic and Josh Maddox. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Lindsay, Nick Isbel, Trent Loman and Pat Ryan.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 11, 2020 and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family wishes to recognize the Dupont High School class of 1955, the Litton High School class of 1966 and Angie of Amedisys Hospice.
