She graduated from Donelson High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, in Donelson, where she taught children in Sunday School for many years before joining The Joy Class.
She retired from Thomas Nelson Publishers in 2006 after 33 years of service as a Customer Service Manager. She was a proud recipient of the Bubba Cox Award. She was the consummate lady.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.P. Peek, her beloved husband and daughter, John Whitney Evans, III and Ginny Holmberg and step-daughter, Amy Adele Foster.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Marc Holmberg of Las Vegas, NV, her step-daughter, Jeanie Fowles, and numerous devoted nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation Monday, June 24, 2019 from 4 until 8 pm and 10-11 am till time of service on Tuesday.
Service at 11:00a.m in the Hermitage Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jack Barron, and Rev. Jim Cross.
Interment to follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers: Paul Heathcock, Steve Shelton, Jamie Shea, Adam Shelton, Brian Heathcock, John Childers and Sean Blackard. Honorary pallbearers are “her boys” Bill Malone and Mike Coakley, Glenn Davis, Scott Kinney, Richard Thompson, Evan Phenevongsa, Rick Combs, and members of The Joy Class at First Baptist Church, Donelson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
