Charles Reid Covington Sr., Born October 24, 1931 in White House, TN. Passed from this life and into the arms of Jesus on September 19, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, Clyde C. Covington and Johnnie B. Covington; two brothers and four sisters. Survived by wife of 62 years, Bobbie J. (Hatcher) Covington; daughter, Deborah Sue (Les) Neely; sons, Charles R. Covington Jr. and Joseph (Jamie) Covington; grandchildren, Allyson (Alec) Cort, Danielle Schroeder, Adam (Alyssa) Hudgins, Charles (Chaz) Covington III, Kevin (Lori) Neely, Kris (Jennifer) Neely, Brad Sanders and Lucinda (Christopher) Greer; great grandchildren, Blake Schroeder, Kristen and Cameron Hudgins, Reid, Belle, and Rana Grace Cort, Jovie Neely, Kyra Sanders and Lane Sullivan. Charlie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was retired from Nashville Marina. Visitation with the family 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday and 1 - 2 p.m. Monday, with services 2 p.m. Monday at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. Russ King, Bro. Gary Hale and Dr. Alec Cort officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Active Pall Bearers will be grandsons, Kevin and Kris Neely, Adam Hudgins, Blake Schroeder, Chaz Covington and Brad Sanders. Honorary Pall Bearers from Rural Hill Church of Christ: Elders (Wives), Deacons (Wives), and M&M’s (Mature Members).
