

Mr. Dukes was born December 5, 1949 in Cookeville, TN, to the late Ulye T. and Ann E. Duvall Dukes.
He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and before retirement, was an Assistant Vice President at the former Service Merchandise, Co.
He was an avid fly fisherman who enjoyed fishing spring creeks and freestone rivers across the country. His favorite spring creek was The Nature Conservancy’s Silver Creek Preserve near Picabo, Idaho and freestone river the Great Smoky Mountain National Park’s Abrams Creek.
He tied flies for various service groups and charities, including Wounded Warriors and Casting for Recovery fishing projects in the Nashville area.
He is survived by a sister, Dorris (Glenn) Turner, nieces Holly Zubkin, Florida, Beverly Tabor, France, Glenna Grant, Florida, and cousins James (Edna) Duvall, Kentucky, Roger Duvall, Florida, and Genie Cooper, Tennessee.
Funeral arrangements are with Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, September 16, Noon-2PM, with graveside services to follow at 2PM.
