Charles R. Terry

Charles R. Terry (Charlie Bob), age 76 of Hermitage, TN. Born April 23, 1939, passed away on Dec. 18, 2015 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Terry and Edna Terry Griffith and daughter, Tracy Terry Corbitt. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia Potter Terry; grandsons, Blake Corbitt, Taylor (Ashlyn) Corbitt and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Grace Corbitt; sisters, Martha Sue Gachupin of California & Judy (Ron) Panger of North Carolina; brothers, Bill Griffith, Jr (Suzanne) of Colorado & Mike Griffith (Kim) of Franklin.

Charles was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. Charles was loved by those who knew him. He was a remarkable dancer and won contests throughout the Nashville area. He was a good golfer and had 3 holes-in-one. Charles loved God, his family and put himself last. He retired from Pirelli Tires after 30 years of service.

A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 pm Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN with Elder Ronald Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jimmie Vaughn, Winston Patton, Alex Poteete, Wayne Green, Terry Potter and Bill Griffith. The family will receive friends from 4 pm till 8 pm Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 and from 11 am till 12 pm on Tuesday at Hermitage Funeral Home.
