Cheryl Wong

It is with great sadness that the family of Cheryl Lynn (Wall) Wong, age 66, announced her passing on Monday, May 12, 2025. Cheryl was born on August 28, 1958, in Athens, Tennessee to Sam and Josephine Wall. Cheryl devoted her life to creating a warm, welcoming home that became the heart of her family. A proud homemaker, Cheryl poured her love into every corner of her home, ensuring it was always a place of comfort, celebration, and connection.

Cheryl's greatest joy was her family, and she especially cherished her grandchildren, who brought immense joy into her life. She and her beloved husband, Jimmy, shared a passion for travel, finding adventure in exploring the world together, especially on cruises, their favorite way to experience new places and cultures. Cheryl was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, laughing, sharing stories, and simply being together. Her warmth, devotion, and kindness will be remembered always by those who were blessed to know her.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Samuel J. Wall.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Wong, children; Heather (Jamie) West and Jeremy (Bree) Wong, grandchildren; Riley, Tanner, Callie, Sophie and a great grandchild, Elliot. She is also survived by her mother Josephine Wall and a sister Tenae (Kenny) Blackburn.

Family and friends will gather Thursday May 15, 2025 from 4:00 - 8:00pm and again Friday from

11:00AM – until time of service at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN. Service will be held at 1:00PM with Pastor Glenn Burks officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories with family as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The American Cancer Society.
