Clyde “Chuck” Austin Berry was born August 24, 1930 in Culloden, West Virginia to Creath and Ida Lovejoy Berry. Chuck went to be with his Lord and loving wife, Elizabeth Berry, who preceded him in death, four years earlier.
Chuck is survived by his only son, Dale A. Berry, and his wife Elisa; and one sister, Juanita Berry White of Summerville, SC.
Before settling in Old Hickory, Tennessee, Chuck enjoyed a lengthy career with commercial airlines. He also served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, in which he flew B-29 aircraft bombers. It was his honor and duty to serve to help and protect his country.
Chuck loved his community and welcomed them all with open arms. He never met a stranger. He loved raising cattle and spending time on his farm in Mount Juliet, TN. He also enjoyed the warmth of the Florida Sunshine when he could slip away. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, his friends, and neighbors.
