Clyde D. Manis, age 78, a resident of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gale Ransom “Pap” Manis and Martha Lawson Manis, and his five siblings, Avery, Bonnie, Jesse, Betty, and Herbert Manis. He is survived by his wife, Frances Manis; his two sons, Randy (Letitia) Manis and Mickey (Tara) Manis; his daughter, Liana (Bill) Manis-Greer; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his three brothers, Ronald, Paul, and Burl Manis, and several other family members and friends. Clyde was a loving husband, an extraordinary father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and loved to help others. He is remembered by many for his years of singing gospel music across the country with The Manis Family Singers and Calvarymen quartet. Clyde enjoyed sharing God’s love with anyone at any opportunity. The positive influence he had in countless people’s lives is immeasurable. Visitation will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Generation Changers Church from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Generation Changers Church at 12:30 pm with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Military Honors & Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Clyde to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 191 Waukegan Road, Suite 105, Northfield, Illinois 60093, or online at www.allbloodcancers.org.

I am really sorry to hear of Clyde D. passing, he was my mother’s (Bonnie Manis Skeen) double first cousin. I have such wonderful memories of being at Uncle Gales and Aunt Rosie’s house in Yuma, plus all the beautiful singing. Sorry that we can’t attend Clyde D celebration of life. This family is such precious people and each of you are in our thoughts and prayers!!! May God give you all comfort and strength during this most difficult time!! Love, hugs, and prayers.
