born April 19, 1997 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Joshua and Michelle Sampson.
He attended country club, BC Swinney elementary, and McCarther middle. While attending McArther
middle he qualified for the states Special Olympics in Stillwater Oklahoma. He received many medals. At
the age of 12 they moved to Nashville Tennessee. He attended DuPont Hadley, Donelson middle and
Antioch middle before finding his home and a forever family at Harris Hillman special education school.
Many special memories where made there; prom king, valentine king, and brightening many peoples
days.
Dalton was a 2019 graduate of Harris-Hillman Special Education School in Nashville. He loved Sesame
Street and music, especially TV theme songs. Dalton was quite the jokester and would often clear tables
and flip chairs, loved playing his tambourines and drums, and would squeeze any empty water bottle in
sight. Dalton enjoyed being spoken and read to, his favorite book being “Quick as a Cricket.”
Dalton was preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Garrett. He is survived by his parents Joshua and Michelle Sampson, brother, Caden Sampson, sisters, Chloe Sampson and Emma Sampson, maternal grandmother Pam Garrett, paternal grandparents Phil and Sue Sampson, Uncles; John (Keri) Bates, Pat (Bridgette) Garrett and Chris Sampson, an Aunt, Suzy Sampson, and many, many cousins.
A visitation will be held Wednesday August 9, 2023 at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Park,
535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN from 2:00 -4:00 with a celebration of life service at 4:00PM.
