Dennis “Denny” Dean Livingston, Jr., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the age of 55. Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, Denny was a cherished resident of Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
Denny was the beloved son of Dean Livingston and Gloria Livingston. He leaves behind his sister, Shana Livingston. He is survived by his loving wife, Alonna Livingston. Denny was a proud father to Brittany Potter (Jason), Angelynna Gray (Lance), Faustino Livingston, Brooklyn Free (Bryce), and Makendra Livingston. His joy was further multiplied by his grandchildren, Ana and Adley Potter. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephew.
Denny’s life was marked by his extraordinary talents and achievements. He was a revered evangelist, a passionate preacher, a respected pastor, a celebrated singer-songwriter, and a gifted musician. His legacy is etched in the hearts of those he touched through his ministry and music.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends to honor and celebrate Denny’s life on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM CDT at the First Apostolic Church, located at 265 Broadmoor Drive, Nashville, TN 37207. This will be followed by a Home Going Service at 6:00 PM CDT.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Denny’s encouraging Bishop and in-laws, Spencer and Joyce McCool; supportive churches Point of Mercy and Soul’s Harbor; father friends and ministers of the International Apostolic Fellowship; gracious hosts, Pastor Dee Jay Shoulder, First Lady Carla Shoulders, and the congregation of First Apostolic Church in Nashville, TN; and the care of the Directors at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens for their support during this time; and, the team at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute for their care.
Denny’s life was a testament to his unwavering faith, the love for his family, and his commitment to the body of Christ. He inspired, encouraged, and challenged us, always remind us to keep God’s Word close with his saying, “My Bible. My Help. My Hope.” He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
