Donald Wayne Staton, 62, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, just days before his 63rd birthday. He was a devoted husband, stepfather, brother, grandfather, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Christine (Smith) Staton, his sister Tammy Ward, and his stepdaughter Brandy Schein. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Shela Staton; his stepson Johnathon Schein (Marissa); his cherished granddaughter, Eleanor Schein; his brother Phillip Staton (Jamie); and his sister Penny Hughes. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

A proud fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Donald loved watching his favorite teams. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly boating, and he was also known for his skill at the pool table. His love for country music and the time he spent with his beloved wife, Shela, brought him joy throughout his life.

Donald cherished family gatherings and the holidays, always bringing warmth and laughter to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Donald will be held Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Hermitage Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Friday, at 11:00 AM at Hermitage Funeral Home.
