Donna Elaine Carter Hayden

Donna attended Dupont Elementary and Dupont High School and graduated with the Class of 1968. In earlier days, she led the dancing at the Dog House, a hang-out for high school students in Old Hickory. In her professional years, Donna worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN and as a beautician for almost twenty years. Donna was a member of the Red Hat Society and a long-time member of Rayon City Missionary Baptist Church, Old Hickory, TN.

Donna enjoyed reading murder mysteries and watching regular television series like NCIS, Bones, CSI, etc. She loved well and will be greatly missed.

Donna is predeceased by her father, Thomas Edward Floyd; her mother, Eunita (Shanks) Floyd; her sister, Brenda Perkins; and her nephew, Dillon Webb. She is survived by her life-long friend and husband of two years, Jim Hayden.

There will be a graveside service for Donna at Hermitage Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Memories on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., with Elder Rick Oliver and Elder Kent Collier, officiating.
