Donna Lee Thurman

Donna Lee Thurman went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Margaret Elizabeth Thurman. She is survived by her sister Joann (Jimmy) Hellmann, and nephews Elliott and Rob Hellmann. Donna spent her life in Nashville. To those who knew her well, it is no surprise that she attended first through twelfth grade without missing a single day of school. Following graduation from Middle Tennessee State University, Donna worked in accounting for Bi-Rite Foods, Malone and Hyde, Protherics Therapeutics, and finally for MTA Distributors. She was involved with volunteer work for the International Order of the Rainbow Girls and the Order of the Eastern Star. Her work ethic was impeccable, giving her best to any task set before her. She loved her family, friends, and professional associates with the heart of a humble servant.

Visitation will be held at Donelson Heights United Methodist Church, 10:00 am, Saturday, April 5,2025 with a memorial service following at 12:00 with Reverend Amanda Diamond, Reverend Regina Hall, and Reverend Patricia Freudenthal officiating. Pallbearers: Gary Shephard, Doug Austin, Elliott Hellmann, Rob Hellmann. Honorary pallbearers: Charles W. Dunn, Randy McKnight, Dr. Austin Whitaker, J.D. Rogers, Seth Sadler, Steve Johnson, David Sadler, Rusty Staggs, and the Girls and Adults of Claiborne Rainbow Assembly #8.
