EARL E HOLLIS, age 70, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021. EARL was born June 25, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee, son of Charles Freeman, and Rosie Hollis. He graduated from Howard High school, and earned his B.S. from Tennessee State University. He served his country and spent many years with the US Navy.

Earl married Marie Edmundson on April 23, 1983 at Haywood Hills Baptist Church, she survives. Earl was a public safety officer for TVA for many years, as well as a postal worker for the U.S. post office. Earl was a member of the Masons, and a Shriner. He enjoyed collecting coins, and traveling.

Besides his wife, Marie Hollis, Earl is survived by 3 sons; Michael Hollis, Ben (Dana) Hollis, and Jon Hollis; grandchildren, Tyler Hollis and Nathan Haller; one great-grandchild, Jordyn Haller; Sisters, Debbie (Bruce) Judkins, and Mona (Gary) Gipson; and his brother, Charles Freeman (Rita) Hollis Jr.

Mr. Hollis was preceded in death by his parents, Rosie & Freeman Hollis Sr; step-daughter, Shelia Chadwick

A visitation for Earl will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138. Funeral service in his honor will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Earl will be laid to rest Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Hermitage Memorial Gardens 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138.
