

Elaine Tubb Wingerter passed away unexpectantly on May 20, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin E. Wingerter, her father, Ernest Dale Tubb, her mother, Lois Elaine Cook Tubb Lemieux, her brothers, Rodger Dale Tubb and Justin Wayne Tubb, her sister, Olene Gayle Tubb Guidrey, and her son, Darryn Chance Walker. She is survived by her daughter, Devonna Capri Walker Chambliss (Edward), brothers, Ernest Dale Tubb Jr. (Joanne), and Larry Dean Tubb, sisters, Erlene Dale Tubb and Karen Delene Tubb (Joe) grandchildren, Jared Walker Chambliss, Matthew Harlow Chambliss (Sarah), Jordyn England Walker and six great-grandchildren.
She worked at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop for many years and retired from there. She enjoyed her years working there and the friends she made, some of which she stayed in touch with even after her retirement. Until she no longer had a way to get there she attended Cornerstone Church in Madison and for many years was in the choir. Her faith, and her walk with Jesus was important to her. She was loved by her family and her friends and she will be missed.
A private viewing with family and a few friends was held on May 23, 2025 with entombment following in the mausoleum at Hermitage Memorial Gardens next to her husband.
