Eleanor Holmes Barnes (EO), age 91 of Nashville, passed away February 11, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ray E. Barnes; sister, Betty Mosley (J.R.); nieces and nephews, Tammy Mosley, Jackie Albert Snyder (Susan), Judy Ottney (Don), Mary Lynn Castile (Paul), Debbie Bent, Penny Elliott (Ray Dean), Rick Mosley (Irene), Donnie Morrison (Brenda), Ted Morrison (Cindy), David Henry (Marilyn), Malcom Henry (Cindy) and Larry Barnes (Missy).
EO attended Dalewood Baptist Church. She retired from Genesco shoe manufacturers after working for 43 years.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, Feburary 15, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN with Pastor Paul Wampler officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family & friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
