Elizabeth Crabtree Halfacre passed away February 21, 2023. She was born July 18, 1935 in Jackson Co, TN to the late Vernon and Maude Cassetty Crabtree. She graduated from Jackson County. High School and received a Bachelors of Science degree from Tennessee Tech University.
She was employed by Metro Nashville Public Schools. Most of her 36 years of teaching were spent at Dupont Jr. High and Middle School in Old Hickory. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeff Halfacre of Donelson, brother Joe Crabtree of Gainesboro, Paul Crabtree and Dr. John Crabtree of Cookeville, and sister Dorothy Harris of Granville.
She is survived by her husband Leo Halfacre of Hermitage and her nieces and nephews.
Gathering of family and friends Friday, February 24, 2023 from 10:00am until 12:00 noon at Hermitage Funeral Home. Graveside service following at noon, Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
