Mr. Elzie Thomas “Tommy” White Sr., age 82 of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Tommy was born in Nashville to the late Robert Howell White Sr. and Minnie Geneva Clark White. He retired from Nashville Display after 48 years of service. Tommy enjoyed golfing, playing games with family, cheering on the Tennessee Titans, and being a “goofball.” He was a loving husband, father, granddaddy, and great granddaddy.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Beverly S. White; children, Debbie Margrave (Roy Moss), Beth Smith (Dwayne) and Todd White (Mikca); grandchildren, Missy Smith (Eric Dawson), Matt Ream (Amber), Whitney Jackson (Alex), Gibson White and Maggie White; great grandchildren, Samantha Jackson, Xander Jackson, Shelby Ream and Cohen Jackson; siblings, Rev. Robert Howell White Jr. (Johnnie) and Ora Mai Rainey (Robert); four-legged constant companion, Iggy; devoted friend, Bob Hollingsworth (Joyce); and several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life will be at Hermitage United Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 4:30 pm with Rev. Chris Seifert officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 pm until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, 12110 Lebanon Road, Mount Juliet, Tennessee 37122.

We wanna send our condolences to Todd & Family. We are so sorry for your loss. He is walking The Streets of Gold in Heaven right now! May God Bless!! My memory of Tommy would have to be at Todd and Mikca’s House on Holidays and Tommy would come in being so funny and happy! He always loved to cut up! RIP Tommy!

I remember my momma and me would go to their house And i had the best time with them. I loved Tommy.. and Beverly and all the kids.. And i spent the night with them several times. at least in my memory .. Tommy Will be sadly missed at the reunions and at all the family gatherings. Beverly I pray for you and the family. MARY LOU SENDS HER LOVE!!!
