SMITH, Ernest Coleman (Smitty)Age 80 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away August 29, 2012. Preceded in death by his son, Ernest D. Smith (Betty); 2 brothers & 4 sisters. Survived by wife, D. Faye Tate Prater Smith; sons, John R. Smith (Debbie) & Elvis T. Smith (Lynn); daughter, Bonnie D. Fitzgerald (Earl); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Lisa P. Keaton; several other step children; several other grandchildren; several other great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Tommy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
