Ernestine Niederhauser Lovelace

LOVELACE, Ernestine Niederhauser, age 84 years old, crossed over to Heaven on December 15, 2013 after a long journey with Parkinsons Disease. She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Niederhauser; her brother, Bob Niederhauser; devoted husband, Robert S, Lovelace who passed March 18, 2013. They were married for 61 years and lived in Donelson and then Old Hickory, TN. Ernestine is survived by her mother, Adelaide Niederhauser who is 104 years old. She is also survived by her son, Larry Lovelace (Becky); daughter, Sherry Kroeger (Skip); son, Syd Lovelace (Booda). She also has 4 grandchildren who adore her: Chris Kennedy (Michelle), Gail Menasco (Luke), Curtis Lovelace, and Chase Lovelace. Ernestine was a devoted wife to Robert, a wonderful mother to her children and devoted grandmother. Always one with an infectious personality and great sense of humor, she attended Donelson High School and was a cheerleader there. She was also Miss Donelson in a beauty pageant by the Lion’s Club where she was a local debutante. She later attended Peabody College in Nashville. She worked for Swiss Dairies and later married Robert Lovelace. She was a member of the Brandywine Women’s Club and was very active in the Nashville Swim League and Old Hickory Country Club Swim Team as she followed her son’s swimming careers. Ernestine was a lifetime member of Andrew Price Church. A Funeral service will be held at 10am Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Rev. Melisa Derseweh officiating. Burial will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 4pm until 7pm and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
