

Eve Verret Wilson, 88 years, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 28, 2025. She was born on August 27, 1936 in Metairie, Louisiana to parents, Herman and Frances Verret.
Eve graduated from Belle Chasse High School (class of eleven students) in 1954. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1967 and was married to James Cunningham until his death in 1980. She helped raise his three children and they all have fond memories growing up. In 1982, Eve married Larry Burke. She enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Eve had an incredible career as an executive assistant for Arthur Andersen for over thirty years. She worked across multiple geographies, including the Nashville office from which she retired. She touched several industries within the consulting practice, helping serve multiple partners over the years as well as clients. Eve was always a favorite amongst all her colleagues. She was calm, cool, and collected at all times. She could always handle a lot on her plate with a smile.
Eve has lived in many locations in the United States and had the opportunity to travel to many countries. She became an accomplished artist using travel photos for inspiration. She had many friends that shared her love of art.
Eve was preceded in death by her father, Herman Joseph Verret; her mother, Frances Richoux Verret; her brother, Adam; three husbands; and two step-children. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Susan Verrett of Hyram; two step-daughters, Robin Pliskin of Santa Rosa, Debra Anderson of San Luis Obispo; step-son, James Cunningham of Manteca; step-granddaughter, Shelby Lovvorn (Wayne); great-step-granddaughter, Kaylee; and great-step-grandson Brayden of Christiana.
The family would like to thank Eve's loyal friend, Nancy Schultz, and her beloved caregivers Kita, Sandra, K, Teresa, Dorothy, and Yolanda for their loving care during Eve's battle with Parkinson's Disease.
There will be a Celebration of Eve's Life on Monday, June 2, 2025, in the Tulip Grove Chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Judson Hays officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Eve's memory to Old Hickory Art Center, 1308 Fuller Street, Old Hickory, TN 37138.
