Evelyn Weatherby, age 80 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. She was born in East Derry, New Hampshire, to the late Joseph and Ida Strumpf Wexler. She earned her Bachelor’s degree and worked as an English teacher for 14 years. After teaching, she became a banker and retired after 20 years of service. Evelyn enjoyed traveling out west, gambling, visiting the beach, frequenting Starbucks, and taking drives in the country. She had a passion for writing songs and poems. She and her husband, Terry, were married 24 wonderful years. Every anniversary they would celebrate at Demo’s; this month they would have celebrated their 25th anniversary. In addition to her parents, her brother, Herb Wexler, precedes Evelyn in death. She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Weatherby; daughter, Amy Levine (Melissa Sloan); step-sons, Gerry Neil Weatherby (Tonia) and Kerry Weatherby (Miranda); sister-in-law, Mynna Wexler; special friend, Linda Moore, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members, and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. The Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, April 9, 2018 in the chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Evelyn to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 143, Memphis, Tennessee 38101.

Biography
