Frances M Brashears

Frances Mae Batchelor Brashears, age 96, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was a well loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and stepmother.

Frances was born August 7, 1929 in Onslow County in North Carolina. She was named after her parents, Francis and Ida Mae Batchelor. She was the youngest of six children and she was the last surviving sibling.

She married in December of 1947 for the first time. Over the years she had 5 children, Vicki, Carol, Linda, Robert and Terri. She managed to attend LPN nursing school while raising 5 children. She worked for 21 years before retiring due to health problems. Her five children gave her many great and great great grandchildren who affectionately called her memaw, or great memaw or Tennessee memaw.

Frances was a member of the Hendersonville Seventh Day Adventist church. She loved her Lord and had amazing faith and believed in prayer. She believed Christ was coming very soon and was ready to go to sleep waiting for his return.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service on Saturday October 25, 2025. Visitation with the family from 1-2 pm with her Celebration of Life service beginning at 2 pm at Hendersonville 7th Day Adventist Church 118 Anderson Lane, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
