

Frances Sue Doar (née Halbach) passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 77 in Acworth, GA. Born on March 15, 1947, in Kingsport, TN, Frances was a dedicated and compassionate individual known for her hardworking and generous nature.
Frances graduated from DuPont High School in 1965 and pursued further education at Baptist College of Charleston, SC, all while working full-time and raising a family. She built a notable career, retiring as a Lab Technician at DuPont, and then transitioning to a second career serving in various roles as a Certified Facilities Manager.
Throughout her life, Frances was passionate about traveling, staying informed as a news enthusiast, and researching genealogy. She was dedicated to maintaining connections with her high school friends and was deeply committed to fighting Polycystic Kidney Disease, a cause close to her heart.
She is survived by her son, Donald E. Doar, Jr. (Andrea), daughter Lynlee A. Doar, grandchildren Norah Doar, Logan Doar, and CJ Johnson, as well as her sister Katherine Dangerfield (Lawton). She also leaves behind nephews Tony and Jonathan Hawkins, and many Travis family cousins. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Travis Halbach and William Halbach, her aunt Sarah Jean Riner, uncle Phil Riner, and brother-in-law Lawton Dangerfield.
In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Frances will be laid to rest at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Old Hickory, TN, next to her mother.
