

Frances will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a homemaker and child care provider for upwards of 35 years for family and friends. Her warm heart and nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. A member of Old Hickory Church of the Nazarene since the 1940’s, Frances was a beloved Sunday school teacher who imparted wisdom and love to generations of children. In her personal time, Frances was an avid reader, and she loved the challenge of working crossword puzzles, which kept her sharp and engaged. Her vibrant sense of humor was infectious, always ready with a smile and a witty remark, she brought joy to those around her. Her laughter and love will continue to be felt by her family and friends for years to come.
She is survived by her daughter Dawn (Thomas) Hall; granddaughter Elizabeth (Jordan) Crouch; grandson Matthew (Ashley) Hall; great-grandsons Axel Hall and Daniel Crouch; sister Violet (Cleveland) Bennett; also many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mrs. Hesson is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul P. Hesson; parents William Jimmie and Mary Alice Overstreet and her brother Durell E. Timothy (Anita) Overstreet.
Gathering of family and friends Friday February 7, 2025 from 4:00-8:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Also on Saturday February 8, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 noon in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. Entombment following Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
