Georgia Bailey DeForge

(Jorja, Memaw, and Social Butterfly)

I arrived on this earth January, 10, 1920, and after 98 years, the Wings of Angels came on February 8, 2018 to carry me to a greater home with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am now with my parents, Hoyt and Meta Bailey; my husband of 58 years, Barney DeForge; my sisters, Catherine Parsons, Ruby Price, and Mildred Hayes, and my brother, Hoyt Q. Bailey.

I will continue to be loved by my children, Tena Coons-Burnett (George), Paul DeForge (Calla), Ray DeForge (Vee), Scott Shiffman (Laurie), and brother-in-law, David Price. I leave behind my cherished 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, my nieces, and my nephews, as you were always to me a precious Gift from God.

My immediate family has planned a Celebration of Life for March 10, 2018 at Donelson Presbyterian Church, 2305 Lebanon Rd, near Briley Parkway, Nashville, TN. Family visitation, 1-2:30, Service, 3pm. My pastor, Paul Casner, should deliver kind words and wisdom at my service; my immediate family will place me next to my beloved Barney.

If you so desire in lieu of flowers/plants, I strongly suggest donations be made to DPC Logos and Nashville Rescue Mission in my memory.

I want to thank all my family and friends for their love, visits, and prayers throughout my life. This Beautiful Butterfly has left this earth to touch the face of God.

My innichement will be privately held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
