Georgia Lee Hunt

Georgia Lee Price Hunt, age 90, died peacefully May 7, 2013 at The Haven, Pineville, NC. She was born October 17, 1922 in Calamine, Arkansas. A funeral service will be held May 11, 2013, 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute, LN 37138, Old Hickory, TN. Burial will follow immediately. The family will receive friends before the service, 9:00-10:45 a.m.. A woman of deep faith, Georgia was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years. After moving to Charlotte in 2007 she enjoyed worshiping at Good Shepherd Methodist Church. She loved her family and was a wonderful, wife, mother, and grandmother. Georgia excelled in gardening, cooking, oil painting and sewing. She loved people and was a friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Charles L. Hunt, six brothers, and one sister. She is survived by daughters JoNell Shelby (Larry) of Charlotte, NC, Celeste Gillespie (John) of Oklahoma City, OK and a son, David Hunt (Sandra) of Old Hickory, TN; seven grandchildren, Mark Blanco (Wendy), Karen Blanco, Candace Sturlin (Malachi), Lauren Gillespie, Preston, Cassie and Trevor Hunt; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Karter Sturlin; a brother, Rev. John Price (Bonnie), of Enid, OK, a sister-in-law, Lucille Price of Paragould, AR, and many nephews and nieces.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of The Haven, Pineville, NC and to Hospice for the loving and compassionate care of their mother.
