

He was Born on December 22, 1926 to Ivah and Burdette Perry in Olean, NY. He grew up as the elder of two boys and attended Olean High School. In 1946 he joined the Navy and served two years. He went on to graduate from St. Bonaventure University in 1949 with a degree in Business and Engineering.
Gerald married Kathleen Deneen in 1950 and the couple had four children. The family moved around the Northeast during his tenure at DuPont, then settled in Nashville, TN where he founded Amertex and Flortex. After his retirement Gerald focused on his love for sports, reading, travel and enjoying quality time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, sharp sense of humor, infectious laugh and zest for life.
Gerald is survived by sons David Perry (Linda) and Gregory Perry (Monica Lahn), daughters Kathleen Perry and Jessica Williams (Greg), Grandchildren Marissa Morris (Brent), Nicholas Perry, Lucas Perry, Gregory Lawrence-Perry and great-grandchildren Marquise Anderson, Reginald Brown, Sean Williams, Gregory Williams, Gerald Williams and loving companion Linda Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents Ivah and Burdette, brother James, wife Kathleen and daughter Lynne.
A private graveside service will take place on Friday April 13th at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
