Glenda Jean (Bramblett) Nevans

Glenda Jean (Bramblett) Nevans, age 76, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, just one day before her 77th birthday. She was surrounded by the family she loved so much. Glenda was a resident of Lebanon, Tennessee, where she will be remembered for her commitment to her family and the real estate community throughout Middle Tennessee.

Glenda’s real estate career spanned 47 years where she quickly advanced from a realtor to a managing broker. She was a true pioneer as one of the first female real estate brokers in Middle Tennessee helping to start Carriage House Realty which eventually became ReMax Carriage House in Mount Juliet. Her clients and agents will remember her for her commitment to doing what is right, integrity, honesty and true compassion for everyone. Her long term commitment is further seen by both her children following her footsteps into the real estate industry.

Above any of her work accomplishments, Glenda was a dedicated mother and friend. She raised her children in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and often donated her time and money to charitable organizations or simply to someone in need. She often led by example more than words as her actions spoke for her. Glenda will be remembered for her big laugh and warm hugs as well as her conversations which often ended with you fully understanding her point of view. She was a lifetime supporter of the Republican Party both locally and nationally. Her love and support will be deeply missed as she was a true one-of-a-kind Mother, Grandmother and Friend to all.

Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Nevans; her parents, Glenn and Nell Blackburn; and her sister, Vickie Blackburn. She is survived by her son, Luke Winchester (Pamela); her daughter, Jessica Neider; her grandchildren Noel Winchester, Noah Winchester, Hadley Neider; her step-son, Matt Nevans; and her brother, Jimmy Blackburn (Debbie) as well as their children Adam (Nicole) Blackburn, their children Sydney, Molly and MaKray and Megan (Trey) Davis, their children Houston and Kynlee.

There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Glenda's Life will begin at 2:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home. Following the service, Glenda will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Rachel Mausoleum at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Glenda’s memory will be a guiding light for all of us to follow and strive for. She will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren.
