Glenda Brooks Minton

Glenda Brooks Minton passed away on May 21, 2026. She was born and raised in Dresden, TN and moved to Nashville, TN where she Married and had her Children, Ollie and Kelly. They lived in Mount Juliet, before moving back to Nashville.

Glenda was such a Joyful spirit and a bouncing ball of light. No matter whom or where she was, she would always crack a joke and make all faces turn to smiles and laughter. She would introduce everyone as her favorite. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family.

Glenda attended Mount Juliet Baptist Church for several years. She then spent her Sunday mornings as a Nursery School Teacher at Tusculum Hills Baptist Church. There she made many lifelong friendships and loved fellowship and helping in any way that she could. After many months in hospitals and McKendree Rehab Center she was able to come back to her home and attended Sunday School and Church the Sunday before she passed. Such a Blessing!

Glenda was employed with HCA until she retired. After retirement, she decided to go back to work and was with VEBA until 2021.

She is preceded in death by her mother; Lottie May Waggener; father, Charles Harold Brooks; sister Edwina Brooks Compton; brother-in-Law: Barry Compton and daughter Kelly Brooks Minton.

She is survived by her son: Ollie Minton, daughter in Law: Nanette Ballinger Minton; grandchildren; Adam Minton (Mallory), Ashlee Minton (Draven) and Treven Minton (Brooke)

Gathering of family and friends Friday June 12, 2026 at Hermitage Funeral Home from Noon until 2:00pm. Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room also at Hermitage Funeral Home.
