June is survived by her husband Michael Franklin, brothers Lowell and Wayne Herd, sons Phillip Ashworth and Paul King, granddaughters Heather Nightengale, Melissa Wharton, Jessica Rodriguez, and Loren Walsh, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father Tamer Herd, mother Maggie Herd, brothers Gerald and Dwight Herd, and sisters Jean Herd and Carlene Grossman.
June was born in Old Hickory, TN and graduated from DuPont High School where she played the clarinet in band. She was a member of GoodNaz Church in Goodlettsville, TN. She worked for Cash Saver for 30 years. June loved her church, family, traveling and bowling.
Services will be held at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on August 6, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 and services will begin at 2:00. Interment to follow at Hermitage memorial Gardens.
