

She was born on August 1, 1925, the daughter of the late. She worked as a Metro School Teacher for many years. Mrs. Patterson was President of the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU), and a member of the National Honor Society and West Hall Baptist Church. In previous years, she attended both Haywood Hills Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Donelson. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Mississippi College, Master’s degree at Middle Tennessee State University, and also had 30+ credits towards her Doctorate’s degree.
She is survived by her two children, Robbie Anne (Dr. John Michael “Mike”) Williams and Philip Wayne (Beth) Patterson; five grandchildren, Elaine Williams (Josh) Dixon, Rev. Matthew Todd (Casey) Williams, Kenneth (Shonda) Williams, Amy Patterson and Andrew (Bridget) Patterson; thirteen great grandchildren, Barrett Brewer, Jacob and Maggie Dixon, Saralynn, Alaina, Kathryn, John Mathew, Vallie and Ella Williams, Grace Elizabeth, William, Caroline and Margaret Patterson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life Service in Tennessee will be held at Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Poly Rouse officiating.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
The Celebration of Life Service in Georgia will be held at West Hall Baptist Church on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 7:00 pm with Dr. Michael Reynolds and Rev. Matthew Williams officiating.
