Hazel Alberta Richards

Hazel Alberta Richards, age 88, of Pleasant View, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Hazel was born March 26, 1933 in Florence, Alabama to her parents Edgar Nichols and Gertrude Thompson.

Hazel worked several jobs during her lifetime but enjoyed being a Homemaker the most. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a woman of faith and was a Baptist. Her family loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed.

Hazel is survived by her daughter Pamela (Lee) Pope; by her grandchildren, Lee Pope IV, Joy (Brian) Link, Scarlett (Jay) Butcher, and Aaron Holder; by her great grandson William Butcher, great-great granddaughter, Mary Butcher and by her sisters, Juanita Shaffer and Janice Ranzenberger and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Hazel is predeceased by her parents, Edgar Nichols and Gertrude Thompson, by her daughter, Glenda (Garry) Holder, by her grandson Lee Pope III, by her granddaughters, Angela McCleskey and Stephanie Holder, by her great granddaughter Chyna Hill, by her sister, Gloria Smith and by her brothers, Leonard Nichols, Larry Thompson and Billy Thompson.

A visitation for Hazel will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM in Hermitage Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor David Gregg.
