Jack Robert O'Steen, 82, passed away on August 31, 2026. Born on December 25, 1943, Jack lived with steady purpose and quiet dignity, carrying himself with the kind of constancy that family and friends come to rely on. A resident of Old Hickory, Tennessee, he will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude for the life he lived and the love he gave.
Jack worked for Peterbilt, bringing dedication and pride to his work. He also cherished the life he built at home, grounded in commitment and devotion. Married for 59 years, Jack shared a long and faithful partnership with his devoted wife, Linda O'Steen, marked by enduring care and steadfast presence through the seasons of life.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Linda O'Steen; his daughter, Tracey Barnes (Brian); his son, Troy O'Steen (Tonia); and his grandchildren, Taylor O'Steen, Tyler O'Steen, Abby Barnes, and Natalie Barnes.
Visitation will be held at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138, on Thursday, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on Friday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow at Hermitage Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Bro Darryl Duncan, Bro Andy Connelly and Bro Gene Wright officiating. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Jack’s memory will remain a guiding presence—honored in the hearts of those who knew him, and carried forward in the family he loved so well.
