She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Miller; her two children, Jimmy Dale Garretson and Sharon Garretson Wilder (and their dad, Jim Garretson); and her granddaughter Lindsey Garretson.
She is survived by her two granddaughters Christia Spears Kearns and Jamie Garretson Carmack, and their children Maya, Grace, Sutton, and Camden. Anybody who talked to her heard all about their lives.
For most of her life, she was a dedicated nurse, an avid softball player, and an anxious UT Vols sports fan. In addition to her beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, she loved her dog Max, game shows, and a good cup of coffee. She hated seafood, sugar in her cornbread, and most of all, Steve Spurrier.
Memorial services will be held at the Hermitage Funeral Home, Old Hickory, TN. on January 6, 2024 at 2:00pm. Anyone in Vols orange will be especially welcome!
