James Wesley Avril Jr.

James attended Overton High School and graduated with the Class of 1993. He attended the University of Colorado Boulder and played football as a tight end for the Buffaloes while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Communication. After graduation, James was a realtor in Boulder, CO then moved back to Nashville, TN as a realtor where he worked until the present time.

James is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William B. and Vera W. Avril; and by his maternal grandparents, Johnny R. and Lorene P. Pinson. He is survived by his father, James Wesley Avril, Sr.; his mother, Judith Pinson Avril; his loving canine companions, Jasper and Toby; and special friend, Angie, and her daughters. James also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends on Wednesday, December 6, from 1pm – 2pm at the Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of James’ Life will begin at 2pm in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home with Dr. Garry Speich officiating. Following the service, James will be laid to rest in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James’ memory to the Nashville Children Alliance or Alive Hospice.
