

James Ross McClintock Old Hickory, TN Age 86, beloved husband and best friend of Juanita McClintock for 64 years, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon. He was predeceased by his parents, James Oscar and Ethel Hagewood McClintock, and his brother, James Oscar McClintock, Junior.Ross was born in Old Hickory, TN, on May 5, 1928, where he lived most of his life. He attended Dupont High School and then served our country in the Air Force. He was stationed in France and spent three years there with Juanita. Ross worked for Ford Motor Company for 31 years and retired in 1989. Ross is survived by his wife, three sons and daughter, Michael McClintock of Cardiff, CA, Ricky McClintock of Old Hickory, Stanley McClintock of Kansas City, MO, and Kimberly Stockdale of Donelson, TN. Ross and Juanita have nine grandchildren, Michael, Beth, Ryan, Becca, Matthew, Ginny, Leanna, Kevin and Kara, and one great-grandchild, TristanRoss was a loving husband and wonderful father. He attended Old Hickory Church of Christ all his life and was a deacon and teacher there for many years. The biggest of UT football fans and an avid golfer, Ross always had a smile on his face and a kind word to share. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him. His is a celebration of a long life well lived. Ross did it right!The family will receive friends Monday, November 24, 2014, at Hermitage Funeral Home 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation Service will be held at Old Hickory Church of Christ Tuesday at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. The minister of the Old Hickory Church of Christ, Don Loftis will conduct the service.
